Bradley Beauchamp was born and raised in Arizona and has lived in Congressional District 1 for close to two decades. He grew up in a proud blue-collar family; his electrician father taught Beauchamp and his two older brothers the value of hard work and traditional American values.
Beauchamp worked his way up, washing dishes in a café and laboring in an open-pit turquoise mine to earn money for college. He graduated from Northern Arizona University in 1996 with a BS in Education. Beauchamp then returned to Globe, Arizona, where he taught civics and government to junior high and high school students.
After several years in the classroom, and desiring to study the Constitution in greater depth, Beauchamp once again became a student himself - this time at Thomas Jefferson School of Law in San Diego, California, where he earned his Juris Doctor degree in 2002. He again returned to Globe, where he past the Arizona Bar Exam and began practicing general law. Over the past eight years, Beauchamp has served the legal needs of many who live in the small towns and rural communities of Arizona.
His love of his home state and the freedoms outlined by our founding fathers - coupled with a growing concern over efforts to degrade the Constitution in ways than threaten the American way of life - caused Beauchamp to launch his campaign for Congress.
Beauchamp’s desire to serve his country was fostered in part by his older brothers’ example. Both became Marines: One served in Desert Storm and is now a Life Flight helicopter pilot in California; the other is currently stationed in Afghanistan. His brothers and parents are all enthusiastic supporters of his run for Congress.
Beauchamp’s work to earn a seat in the U.S. House of Representatives has been a grassroots effort from the start. He continues to traverse the tenth largest Congressional District in the U.S., listening intently to the stories, hopes and dreams of the rural Arizonans he hopes to serve. In his travels, Beauchamp speaks with as many constituents as possible about his vision: leading a return to government guided by an intact Constitution and the will of the people, and taking a firm stand against the politics as usual of Washington’s entrenched elite - including fighting to end Congressional representation that can be bought by lobbyists.
Campaign efforts to date have earned Bradley Beauchamp a fast-growing base of supporters, including many important endorsements by civic leaders who live and work in Arizona’s First Congressional District. Among them are Andy Tobin, State Representative; Steve Waugh, Yavapai County Sheriff; Rowle Simmons, Former Prescott Mayor; Gary Marks, Director of Prescott Valley Economic Development Foundation; Rick Anderson, Prescott Valley Vice-Mayor; Prescott Valley Town Council Members Patty Lasker, Lora Lee Nye and Harold Wise; Show Low Mayor Rick Fernau; Teri Kibler, CAP Water Board Member; Yavapai County Supervisor Chip Davis and numerous GOP County Chairs and Tea Party leaders from across CD-1.
Among the latest of Beauchamp’s official endorsements is the National Border Patrol Council’s Local 2544 - Arizona’s largest sector, representing more than 3,000 border patrol agents serving the Tucson corridor. It underscores Beauchamp’s deep understanding of the pressing need for to secure our borders and enforce our immigration laws.
In his letter of endorsement, NBPC President Brandon Judd cites Beauchamp’s 7-Point Border Security Plan, stating, “You are the first to create a strategy by soliciting the help and input of rank and file Border Patrol Agents, and we are sure that when implemented, the impact will be immediate.” Judd continued, “Your no-nonsense approach ... will be a refreshing change in a political climate controlled by special interests and the interests of self-serving politicians.”
